Claiming Land with GriefPrevention

GriefPrevention allows you to protect your builds from griefers by claiming land using a Golden Shovel. Follow this guide to learn how to properly claim, expand, and manage your land.

🏠 How to Claim Land

Step 1: Get a Golden Shovel

To start claiming land, you need a Golden Shovel. You can obtain one by crafting it or purchasing it from the server shop.

Step 2: Start a Claim

1. Hold your Golden Shovel.

2. Right-click two opposite corners of the area you want to claim.

3. The claim boundaries will be highlighted with gold and glowstone blocks.

4. You will see a confirmation message that the land is claimed.

Step 3: Expanding a Claim

1. Hold the Golden Shovel.

2. Right-click any corner of your existing claim.

3. Right-click a new location to expand the claim.

📜 Managing Your Claim

Trusting Players

You can allow friends to build in your claim using:

/trust [player] - Allows the player to build in your claim.
/containertrust [player] - Allows access to containers, but not building.
/accesstrust [player] - Allows access to doors, buttons, and levers.

To remove a player’s access:

/untrust [player] - Removes the player from your claim.

To see a list of trusted players:

/trustlist - Shows all players with permissions in your claim.

Unclaiming Land

If you no longer need a claim, you can remove it:

/unclaim - Deletes your claim.

To remove all your claims:

/abandonallclaims - Deletes all your land claims.

📌 Additional Features

• Automatic Claims: When you place your first chest, a small claim is automatically created around it.

• Claim Blocks: You earn additional claim blocks for playing or through in-game purchases.

• Subdividing Claims: You can create smaller sections within a claim to grant specific permissions.

/subdivideclaims - Enter subdivision mode.

🛠 Tips for Effective Claiming

• Always claim your land before building to prevent griefing.

• Keep an eye on your available claim blocks using:

/claimlist - Displays your claim blocks.

• Make sure your claim is large enough to include all future builds.
